As an events organiser running my own business and hosting corporate programmes the world over, I have had the privilege of years of luxury travel, working with 5 star hotels and enjoying all-round mind-blowing travel experiences… and the thought of staying in a moderately rated hotel, dining half board and sunning myself around a crowded pool with families and couples really didn’t appeal.

I wanted to treat myself, have a 'splurge', go to the places the Conde Nast Traveller journalists were raving about – those classic ‘hot spots’ in the world, where there is a buzz, great hotels, dining and nightlife, or some off-the-wall places I had never visited before.
I wanted to spend time with pleasant, like-minded individuals sharing some of the destination highlights together, making friends, without any enforced or contrived socialising.
I wanted all of this and I was prepared to pay for it - but I struggled to find it. All I found was the assumption that single people don't have the money to spend on some of the finer things on their travel experiences. Until now.
